[origin: WO03037609A1] The invention concerns a method for using a horizontal press comprising a central screw (1) with reverse pitches (2, 3) bearing circular plates (6 and 7) which move along the central screw (1) inside a cage (8) provided with slots (9) moving closer to or away from each other in their relative rotational direction with respect to the reverse-pitch screw (1, 2, 3), which consists in pressing by successive pressing stages, the pressure increases ranging between 0.25 and 1 bar. The invention is characterized in that it consists in providing inside the cage (8) draining means (11, 20, 30) communicating with the outside of said cage through appropriate orifices (14, 25).
