[origin: WO03040657A2] The invention relates to a measuring transducer, comprising a sensor, for transforming a measured parameter, recorded by the same, into an electrical sensor signal, a signal processing unit, embodied for conversion of the sensor signal into a measured signal and for generation of an error report signal and a data interface for transmission of the measured signal and the error report signal. According to the invention, error events from outside the measuring transducer (1) may be simply recorded, whereby the measuring transducer (1) comprises a control input (15), different to the data interface (8), by means of which the generation of the error report signal (11) may be invoked.
