Es wird ein Arbeitsstuhl mit einstellbarer Lehnenträger-Vorspannungskraft beschrieben, bei dem an einem Sitzteil ein schwenkbarer Lehnenträger (1) angeordnet ist, der mit einer von Hand einstellbaren Vorspannkraft eines Kraftspeichers (21) gegen den Rücken des Benutzers vorgespannt ist. Das vordere Ende des Kraftspeichers (21) ist an einem am freien, schwenkbaren Ende eines sitzkantennahen Lenkers (23) drehbar gelagert, und das hintere Ende des Kraftspeichers (21) ist an einem freien, schwenkbaren Ende des Lehnenträgers (1) angelenkt, wobei dieser Angriffspunkt einstellbar und feststellbar ausgebildet ist. <IMAGE>
