[origin: WO03033259A1] The invention relates to a composite material which is used to facilitate the recycling of plastic composite materials and shaped bodies produced therefrom, consisting of a sorted single material. According to the invention, the sorted composite plastic material consists of a core of thermoplastic foam and at least one reinforcing layer made of a composite consisting of fibers or strips made of the same thermoplastic material as the foam. The invention also relates to a method for the production of said sorted composite material, wherein the thermoplastic synthetic foam is applied to a pre-formed reinforcing layer and is welded to the reinforcing layer by adding heat. A composite consisting of at least two layers of wovens, knitted fabrics or a cluster of fibers and strips made of the same plastic material as the foam is used as a reinforcing layer.
