[origin: FR2829554A1] A female clip-on coupling comprises a rigid plastic body with a ridged tubular connector and a section with a stepped cylindrical cavity, a seal and a lock for the collar on a male adapter. The lock is a lever set in a slot in the female component and connected to it by flexible supports. When the male adapter is inserted it tips the lever so that its collar passes under the lever tip and is then held in place by it. The female clip-on coupling, designed to receive a male adapter (20) with a central barrel (21) and a collar (22), comprises a rigid plastic body (2) with a ridged tubular connector (4) and a section (5) with a stepped cylindrical cavity (7, 8), a seal (10) and a lock (3) for the collar on the male adapter. The lock is made in the form of a lever set in a slot (11) in the female component and connected to it by flexible supports (13) made from a thermoplastic or elastomer material. When the male adapter is inserted it tips the lever so that its collar passes under the lever tip (14) and is then held in place by it.
