[origin: EP1442881A1] A printing machine applies a mixture of two or more fluids to a paper web. The assembly has a first reservoir for the first fluid, a fluid supply for the second fluid and mixer vessel in which the two are combined and a reservoir in which they are held prior to application. The printing machine has a separate buffer tank for the first liquid. The buffer tank has a valve-regulated delivery tube to the mixer container (12, 14). The valve is operated by a control unit and maintains a continuous or quasi-continuous supply of concentrated silicon oil (1). A second valve is linked to the same control unit and maintains a continuous or quasi-continuous supply of water. Also claimed are commensurate processes to operate the assembly and apply the resultant mixture.
