In order to easily arrange the disconnecting element in the carbon brush with the desired spring pre-tensing, the disconnecting element (20) with the pre-tensed spring (24) is surrounded by a covering (26) made of an electrically insulating material, said covering being fixed in the recess (18) of the carbon brush (10).
