[origin: WO03043303A2] For the reconfiguration of a radiotelephone apparatus (AP) having components programmable in accordance with configuration modes, the invention provides a removable electronic device (DI) having stored data (PRq, Paq) defining several configuration modes (M1-MQ) which is connected to the apparatus. A configuration (Mq) mode is selected from the apparatus (AP) in the device (DI). The programmable components (C1-C4) are programmed by the device and reconfigured in accordance with the selected configuration mode data under the control of the device (DI). The data of the configuration modes can be downloaded from a server in the device through a downloading terminal.
