Abstract (en)
The coating removal process can remove at least a brittle coating (7) from a substrate (4) by means of thermal shock at a temperature (T) considerably above room temperature (RT) without damaging the substrate. The thermal shock causes the growth of a crack system in the brittle layer, thus at least partly separating it from the substrate.

Verfahren zur Entfernung von zumindest einer Schicht von einem Substrat nach dem Stand der Technik haben den Nachteil, dass das Substrat in ungewünschter Weise beschädigt wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ermöglicht die Entfernung zumindest einer spröden Schicht (7,10) von einem Substrat durch einen Thermoschock, wobei das Substrat (4) nicht geschädigt wird. <IMAGE>
