Abstract (en)
Continuous casting of liquid metals, especially liquid steel, comprises partially reducing the heat transfer number alpha (W/m2>.K) during cooling in the region of the heat flow shadow of the submerged nozzle (1) so that an isotherm lying in a horizontal plane produces a uniform strand shell on the periphery (20). An independent claim is also included for a device for the continuous casting of liquid metals, especially liquid steel, comprising a mold (2) and a submerged nozzle (1) which can be adjusted below a constant casting mirror and reaches up to the funnel end between copper plates (2a).

Ein Verfahren zum Stranggießen von flüssigen Metallen, insbesondere von flüssigen Stahlwerkstoffen (7) durch Eingießen in einen Tauchausguss (1), der in der Stranggießkokille (2) bis unter einen Gießspiegel (5) und ggfs. bis zu einem Trichterende (6a) zwischen den Breitseitenplatten (2a) reicht, strebt an, durch eine gleichmäßigere Kühlung der Metallschmelze eine gleichmäßigere Bildung der Strangschale zu erzielen, wobei die Entwicklung unter der Prämisse der thermischen Behandlung von Stranggießkokille und Tauchausguss als Einheit steht und schlägt als Lösung vor, dass während der Abkühlung in dem Bereich des Wärmestrom-Schattens des Tauchausgusses (1) die Wärmeübergangszahl α[W/m<2>•K] derart abgesenkt wird, dass eine jeweils in einer horizontalen Höhenebene liegende Isotherme eine auf dem Umfang (20) gleichmäßige Strangschale (15) erzeugt. <IMAGE>
