Abstract (en)
A papermaking machine makes two layers of paper that are subsequently brought together in a single web. The machine has a first belt (22) transporting a first layer of fibres, and a second belt (12) feeding a second layer of fibres. Before the two layers are brought together, one or both of the fibre webs run through a margin trimming station (48). The margin trimming station has an air jet or water jet knife. The air jet knife is operated with compressed air at between 1.5 and 5 bar. A water jet knife operates at between 5 and 30 bar. The position at which the jet knife cutter is presented is adjustable in a transverse range of 5 to 500 mm. The two webs are joined by a couch roll.

Eine Vorrichtung zum Formen einer mindestens zweilagigen Faserstoffbahn mit einem ersten Band (22), über das eine erste Faserstofflage einläuft, mit einem zweiten Band (12), über das eine zweite Faserstofflage einläuft, und mit einem Zusammenführungsabschnitt, in dem die erste und die zweite Faserstofflage zu der Faserstoffbahn zusammenführbar sind, weist vor dem Zusammenführungsabschnitt an wenigstens einem der Bänder (12, 22) eine Anordnung (48) zum Abtrennen eines Randbereichs der Faserstofflage auf. <IMAGE>
