Abstract (en)
Locking system for windows, doors or the like, comprising a striker plate (1) and a moveable locking member (20) such as a pawl, a ratchet or the like, for cooperating with said striker plate, said striker plate (1) comprising a recess, slot or the like (2) for cooperating with the locking member in a locking position. To prevent break-ins etc., the locking member features means for locking the locking member (20) in relation to the striker plate (1), and said means, which may be a surface (28), a boss (26) or an indentation (29), is designed to engage with a part, for instance a surface (12), of the striker plate when force is applied to the locking member in an at least partly sideways direction. <IMAGE>
