Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1445434A1] A combustion engine with a lifting piece for a gas exchange valve comprises a camshaft (4a) with an adjacent valve lift, a cylinder head with a bearing (16) for the camshaft and a cylinder head cover. The split camshaft bearing lies between the cylinder head and cover and its dividing plane (12) is perpendicular to the plane between cylinder head and cover. An independent claim is also included for an engine as above having a divided eccentric shaft bearing.
