Belüftungselement für einen Kühler zum Kühlen von Schüttgut, enthaltend ein mit wenigstens einer Öffnung (1.1) zur Zufuhr von Kühlgas versehenes wannenartiges Bauteil (1) sowie einen im wannenartigen Bauteil lösbar befestigbaren Einsatz (2), der eine von unten belüftbare Auflagefläche für das Schüttgut bildet, wobei der Einsatz aus mehreren Längsprofilen (2.1,2.7) und quer dazu angeordneten Verbindungselementen (2.8,2.11) besteht. Die Längsprofile und die Verbindungselemente sind derart ausgebildet, dass sie bei der Montage des Einsatzes ineinander gesteckt werden können. <IMAGE>
