Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2832465A1] The invention concerns a diffuser for a wind turbine, in particular a large-dimension wind turbine mounted on a mast (2) and comprising a wind-driven propeller (3) equipped with blades (5) as well as an alternator converting wind kinetic energy into electric power. The invention is characterized in that it consists of a circular element (7) enclosing the ends (9) of the blades (5), and consisting of a skin (14) made of a stretched textile membrane associated with a rigid internal and/or external framework (15) supporting the loads and enabling to stretch the membrane and forming it.
[origin: FR2832465A1] The large size wind generator has a vertical mast with a wind driven helix with the helical blades inclined towards the forward direction. There is a center section (4) driving an alternator. The center section has a fixed chassis (6) attached to an element (7) having a low length section and concentrically attached to the chassis by arms (8). There is a small gap between the chassis and the moving blades. The fixed section has a rounded edge attachment with a streamlined shape. The fixed section is made from a stretched skin membrane (14) of low density on a rigid skeleton structure.
