This invention relates to a method for lacquering a surface, a first layer of a product containing a coloured pigment and a second layer of a product containing a coloured pigment being successively applied to a surface, one covering the other, the second layer not containing no carbon black and the colour of the first layer and of the second layer together producing a predetermined colour. This predetermined colour being a colour belonging to the RAL-standard.
