Rotary tampon printer has at least one carrier device (5) with a number of retainers (6) in which objects to be printed are placed and one or more print modules (A-C), with which the objects can be printed. The carrier device is driven by a first drive, while the print modules are driven using a second high-dynamic drive that controls the print modules so that they are independently positioned relative to objects to be printed. An independent claim is made for a method for printing objects with at least a print module.

Die Druckmaschine weist wenigstens ein Aufnahmemittel (5) auf, das mehrere im Abstand zueinander angeordnete Aufnahmen (6) besitzt, auf denen jeweils ein zu bedruckender Gegenstand (8) zu befestigen ist. Mit wenigstens einem Druckmodul (A, B, C) werden die genannten Gegenstände (8) bei konstant laufendem Aufnahmemittel (5) bedruckbar. Das Aufnahmemittel (5) wird von einem ersten Antrieb (9) und das Druckmodul (A, B, C) von einem zweiten hochdynamischen Antrieb (10) angetrieben. Dieser zweite, hochdynamische Antrieb (10) steuert das Druckmodul (A, B, C) so, dass sich das Druckmodul (A, B, C) selbsttätig an die Position der zu bedruckenden Gegenstände (8) anpasst und Fertigungstoleranzen des Aufnahmemittels (5) kompensiert werden. <IMAGE>
