The dustbin has a body and a folding lid (2) on hinges (3) and a damping device to slow down the movement of the lid, particularly in the end region of movement before it is fully closed or open. The damping device is located inside a through aperture (11) in one of the hinges, which is hollow. The damping effect is achieved by the displacement and/or throttling of a flow of fluid.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Behälter, insbesondere Müllbehälter, mit einem Korpus und einem daran über Scharniere (3) beweglich befestigten Klapp-Deckel (2) zum Verschließen des Korpus sowie einer Dämpfungseinrichtung zum Abbremsen der Bewegung des Deckels (2), insbesondere im Endbereich der Bewegung vor Erreichen dessen geschlossener und/oder offener Endstellung, wobei die Dämpfungseinrichtung am Scharnier (3) des Deckels (2) angeordnet, insbesondere in der hohlen Durchgangsöffnung (11) des Scharniers (3) angeordnet, ist und die Dämpfungswirkung auf der Verdrängung und/oder der Drosseldung der Strömung eines Fluids beruht. <IMAGE>
