Abstract (en)

The connector consists of two plastic clamps (2, 3) designed to clip onto barrier section uprights, e.g. of 40 mm diameter, and joined together by hinges, cables (22), e.g. of stainless steel, or chains that allow movement about at least two geometrical axes lying perpendicular to one another. The hinges are in the form of projections on the clamps, with a pin on one projection engaging with elongated slots in two others. In addition, at least one of the clamps has a slot for inserting the tip of a blade, especially of a screwdriver, for prising it off an upright.
