[origin: WO03045563A1] The invention relates to a tube grinder and to a method for comminuting lumpy grinding stock whereby involving the use of at least one first and one second grinding chamber as well as a partition, which is located between the grinding chambers and rotates therewith. The material ground in the first grinding chamber is separated inside the partition into a first and a second quantity of grinding stock, whereby at least a portion of the second quantity of grinding stock reaches the second grinding chamber, and at least the first quantity of grinding stock is separately transferred out of the tube grinder.
