[origin: WO03035709A2] A method for the production of impact-resistant moulding materials by anionic polymerization of vinyl aromatic monomers in the presence of rubber in a continuously through-flown reactor cascade consisting of at least two reactors. The vinyl aromatic monomers are fed to the reactors of the reactor cascade in partial flows and an anionic initiator and rubber are fed to at least the first reactor. The reactor cascade consists of backmixed reactors.
