Abstract (en)
A snowboard comprising an exterior face formed from an upper decoration and protection combination covered over at least part of its upper surface by one or more films of varnish which forms a collection of bumps arising from the surface. The collection of bumps created on the surface a relied decoration of drops or runs giving the impression of the freezing of a liquid which has been sprayed or poured onto the surface. The bumps have a height of 0.2-1.2 mm and preferably about 0.5mm. Their size is 200-2000 dm 2>. The varnish layer is transparent or translucent so that the base decoration can be seen through it. An independent claim is included for a method of producing the claimed snow board comprising the final steps of (1) preparing the upper surface by abrading; (2) applying to the exterior surface an even layer of a varnish based on acrylate oligomers and monomer, hardening under UV with a dry extract 90-100; (3) hardening the film under UV at 0.5-1.5 J/cm 2>; (4) applying a 20-120 mu m coat of a similar varnish; (5) harding under UV at 1.5-2 J/cm 2> To obtain a collection of bumps, the board is held upright between the application of the second varnish coat and drying to form runs. The decoration is applied after preparing the surface and before applying the varnish coats.

Une planche de glisse sur neige (1) comprend notamment une face extérieure (6) formée d'un ensemble supérieur de décoration et de protection, ledit ensemble supérieur de décoration et de protection étant recouvert d'au moins un film de vernis au moins sur sa surface extérieure (6).
