The method involves determining the positions of reflective devices, determining the boundaries of the surface, determining a path for the movement of the vehicle and then processing the surface. The positions of the reflective devices are determined by transmitting physical signals from the vehicle and receiving reflected signals from the devices, changing the vehicle position and determining corresponding angular positions of the devices. The method involves determining the positions of a number of reflective devices (5), determining the boundaries of the surface to be processed, determining a path for the movement of the vehicle and then processing the surface. The positions of the reflective devices are determined by transmitting physical signals from the vehicle and receiving reflected signals from the devices, changing the vehicle position and determining corresponding angular positions of the devices. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an earth processing machine.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Fahrzeug zur Bodenbearbeitung, insbesondere ein autonomes Fahrzeug für Bodenbearbeitung mit einer Vorrichtung zum Steuern des Fahrzeuges, welche wenigstens eine Sendeeinrichtung, eine Vielzahl von vom Fahrzeug getrennt angeordneten Reflexionseinrichtungen, wenigstens eine Empfangseinrichtung, wenigstens eine im Fahrzeug angeordnete Mikro-Prozessoreinrichtung und eine Steuereinrichtung aufweist. Ferner ist die Steuerung für das Fahrzeug zur Bodenbearbeitung dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in einem ersten Schritt eine angenäherte Position der Reflexionseinrichtung in Bezug auf einen vorgegebenen Ausgangspunkt bestimmt wird und in weiteren Schritten die exakte bzw. exaktere Position des Reflexionseinrichtung unter Verwendung einer Korrekturalgorithmus in Bezug auf den Ausgangspunkt bestimmt wird. <IMAGE>
