Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1452652A2] The disconnector has upstream and downstream backflow preventers (30,44) combined with a relief valve (18) to form a structural unit. The relief valve has a slide valve with an upstream end face exposed to water pressure from inlet port unit. A downstream end face is exposed to pressure in space between the preventers. The slide valve covers a lateral outlet opening/drain passage of disconnector casing, in its closed position. The slide valve body is moving in a flow passage between open and closed positions under the action of a pressure difference between the inlet and a space. The body covers a drain passage in its closed position.
