Abstract (en)
A servo drive system for a locking system, e.g. for a door or a window, has at least two compact electric motors mounted together to provide a combined torque output. With the motors positioned side by side the output shafts drive separate gear wheels and a combining gear wheel. Alternately the two drive shafts are coupled by a belt drive to operate on one gear wheel. Another possible layout has two electric motors in line with the output shaft of the rear motor coupled to a through drive shaft of a front mounted motor.
