The device (1) has a piezoelectric, electrostrictive or magnetostrictive actuator (2) and a valve needle (12) that interacts with the actuator and a spring element (3) and has a valve closure body (13) that interacts with a valve seat surface (14). The actuator is at least partly radially enclosed over at least part of its axial length by at least one spring element whose force action moves the valve needle against the actuator's lift direction.

Ein Brennstoffeinspritzventil (1), insbesondere zum direkten Einspritzen von Brennstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem piezoelektrischen, elektrostriktiven oder magnetostriktiven Aktor (2) und einer mit dem Aktor (2) und einem Federelement (3) in Wirkverbindung stehenden Ventilnadel (12), weist an dem abspritzseitigen Ende der Ventilnadel (12) einen Ventilschließkörper (13) auf, der mit einer Ventilsitzfläche (14) zu einem Dichtsitz zusammenwirkt. Der Aktor (2) ist über wenigstens einen Teil seiner axialen Länge wenigstens teilweise radial von zumindest einem Federelement (3) umgeben. Die Kraftwirkung des zumindest einen Federelements (3) bewegt die Ventilnadel (12) entgegen der Hubrichtung des Aktors (2). <IMAGE>
