Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10160662A1] The invention relates to a stabilizer composition for polymers that preferably contain halogen, said composition comprising at least one onium perchlorate and at least one organic solvent.
[origin: DE10160662A1] Liquid stabilizer compositions containing at least 0.05 wt.% of at least one organic onium perchlorate improve the initial color in processing halogen-containing polymers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a process for preparation of a stabilizer composition by dissolution of an onium perchlorate in a solvent; (2) a polymer composition containing at least one halogen-containing organic polymer and a perchlorate onium salt; (3) a shaped body containing the stabilizer composition or polymer composition; (4) a process for stabilizing a halogen-containing polymer, in which the polymer (or a mixture of two or more of them, or a mixture of one of them and one of more halogen-free polymer) is mixed with an onium salt of a perchlorate.
