[origin: WO03039936A2] The invention relates to an electric machine, preferably an alternator (10) for motor vehicles, comprising a current redresser unit (11) on an end plate (23) of the machine, in which a circulating fan (28) is arranged. The current redresser module is heat-conductingly fixed to a heat-conducting, annular section (23a) of the end plate (23) and the annular section surrounds an area (23b) of the end plate (23) which is provided with openings (27) through which cooling air suctioned by the fan (28) flows. The minus and plus diodes of each diode bridge of the current redresser unit are respectively arranged with an input-sided connection part added therebetween between a common plus and minus connection plate (15,17) and form the current redresser unit therewith.
