Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1454546A1] The sports boot has an inner semi-rigid section (2), around the heel and ankle and partially around the foot, within an outer supple leather section. The inner section has a main part (21) to give two rounded cuts (27) around the instep, and a second part (22) is within the cut-out. The first part is more rigid than the second. The inner section of the boot is shaped to tighten the second part within the shaped zones while the leg is moved forwards. The two parts of the inner section are of felt, with a thicker first part. The first part is assembled using stitching (24,25), and the second part is secured in place by stitches (26).
