[origin: EP1454681A2] Device for rolling steel strips (S) comprises a mill stand (4), a winding unit (2, 6) and strip compensation units (3, 5) arranged between the mill stand and the winding unit. The strip compensation units each have a roller (9, 10) which can be adjusted in the horizontal direction. An independent claim is also included for a process for rolling steel strips.
