Abstract (en)
The egg packing has a top section (2) hinge-connected to a bottom section (1) by a hinge (3) located on the rear longitudinal side. The bottom section has several cells to hold the eggs and which are in the form of semi-ovoid preformed recesses (12) which have at least one inwards convexity (15) in a region below an equatorial plane. The inwards convexity is spherical in design. The radius of curvature of the inwards convexity is between a third and two-thirds of the average radius of curvature of the preformed recess.

Eieverpackung mit einem Unterteil (1) und einem Oberteil (2) das über ein aus einer hinteren Längsseite angeordneten Gelenk (3) klappbar mit dem Unterteil (1) verbunden ist, wobei das Unterteil (1) mehrere in Reihen angeordnete Zellen zur Aufnahme von Eiern (5) aufweist, die als semi-ovoidförmige Formvertiefungen (12) ausgebildet sind, wobei die semi-ovoidförmigen Formvertiefungen (12) in einem Bereich unterhalb einer Äquatorebene mindestens eine Einwölbung (15) aufweisen. Die erfindungsgemäßen Einwölbungen (15) bilden eine Art Kissen für ein in die Formvertiefung (12) aufgenommenes Ei und wirken so stoßdämpfend. Das Ei (5) ist in der Verpackung somit besser geschützt. Außerdem wirken die Einwölbungen (15) aussteifend für die Formvertiefung (12) insgesamt, so daß die gesamte Eierverpackung stabiler wird und eine erhöhte Schutzfunktion entfaltet. <IMAGE>
