The roller (232) has a passage (235) of adjustable width (240) for a pulley (124) for transporting lengths of paper (142). The roller is in the form of a forming roller (26;27) . The forming roller or parts (106;107) of its barrel (245) facing its outer casing is separable into at least two parts towards the rotational axis (25) of the roller. At least one of the two parts is axially movable to form the passage for the pulley.

Vorgeschlagen wird eine Vorrichtung zum Transport von Papierbahnen mit einer Walze (16) zum Umlenken, Führen oder Bearbeiten von Papierbahnen (05,06,07) mit einem Durchlaß für ein Zugmittel (33), wobei vor und/oder hinter der Walze (16) eine schienenartige Führung (80,88) für das Zugmittel (33) vorgesehen ist und unmittelbar vor und/oder nach der Walze (16) die schienenartige Führung (80,88) aus einem Teilstück des vorgesehenen Laufpfades für das endliche Zugmittel (33) wegbewegbar ist. <IMAGE>
