Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1455018A1] The acoustic barrier wall, as insulation against the noise of traffic and the like, is supported by vertical posts (10) with an H-shaped profile, anchored in concrete (16). Acoustic barrier cassettes (12) are inserted over each other between the posts, with their ends fitting into the grooves (18) formed by the post profiles, with a top covering profile (14). The cassettes are held in place by sprung spacers at their ends as bent leaf springs, to press against the base of the mounting grooves. The cassettes are filled with a sound-absorbent material.
