Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10309472B3] The hydrant, especially below floor level, has a mantle pipe (10) with an attached valve housing which is fitted to the pipes of the mains network. The housing contains a main valve body (43) with a valve seat, and a spindle (41) through the housing cap (11) and through an inner cladding (42). A water removal system (30) has a bush (45) between the valve housing and/or the mantle pipe on one side, and the main valve body on the other side, which sets the main valve seat. At least one recess between the bush and the valve housing and/or mantle pipe forms at least one distribution chamber. At least one drilling carries the flow medium at the hydrant from the mantle pipe and over the main valve body to the distribution chamber, when the main valve is closed, and gives an uninterrupted flow when the valve is open. At least one water removal drilling (31) gives a flow through a drilling at the valve housing and/or a drilling through the mantle pipe to the outside of the hydrant. The metal bush of the main valve and/or the non-return valve is coated with rubber or plastics.
