Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1455039A2] The lock system for vehicle flaps and doors, and especially the glove compartment, has a normal motor-operated unit (10) and an emergency manual unit (20). The operating mechanism for the normal operation is integrated into that for the emergency manual system, using a combined two-stage (51,52) push/pull handle (30), with each stage set for use with a different working mode to be moved for normal working and shifted by a stronger force (38).into the manual setting against a spring action (23).
