Abstract (en)
A particle filter's (PF) (3) lead-in side (4), at which unfiltered exhaust gases enter the PF during PF operation, links to a pressurized sink (9) abruptly, while the PF's outlet side (5), at which filtered exhaust gases leave the PF during its operation, links to a surrounding atmosphere (20). A gas-flow generation device (2) produces a shock-like gas flow to clean the PF with a reverse flow. An independent claim is also included for a device for cleaning a particle filter for filtering exhaust gases in an internal combustion engine.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Reinigen eines Partikelfilters (3), das zum Filtern von Abgasen einer Brennkraftmaschine dient. Damit das Reinigungsverfahren relativ preiswert realisierbar ist und dennoch eine effektive Wirkungsweise besitzt, wird das Partikelfilter (3) mit wenigstens einer stoßartigen Gasströmung rückgespült. <IMAGE>
