Abstract (en)
The process involves sending an impulse of current of dI/dt greater than 50 amperes per microsecond in a flash tube (10) of diameter greater than or equal to 8 millimeter to have a required life span. A secondary impulse of current having an amplitude and time constant is chosen to avoid the extinction of tube after emission of flash generated by the former current impulse. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a device for the production of ultraviolet C radiation (UVC) (b) utilization of the device producing the UVC radiation for decontamination (c) a process of decontamination in which the UVC radiation are generated by the process of generating UVC radiation.
Abstract (fr)
<IMAGE>
