[origin: WO03047333A1] The invention refers to a plastic film (1) used for covering linearly cultivated plantations (asparagus, strawberries etc) and for plantations cultivated under small tunnels. Its main characteristic is that it has along its sides a super absorbing material (2), which can absorb water thus increasing its weight. The plastic film (1) can be applied on the field and it can be sprayed with water either due to natural artificial rain or by any other means. The spayed water is absorbed by the super absorbing (2) material hence increasing the weight along the sides of the plastic film (1), which is consequently fixed on the line of cultivation.
