[origin: WO03041961A1] The invention relates to a simple and reproducible method for producing erasable and re-writeable rotogravure forms, to novel erasable and re-writeable rotogravure forms and to the use of these rotogravure forms. According to the invention, a substrate having a grid of recesses is provided, and structures consisting of at least one removable illustration material are produced in the recesses in order to form cups corresponding to the tone values of the setting copy, whereby at least one liquid, low-viscous precursor of the illustration material is introduced into the recesses by means of an ink jet device and is then solidified to form the illustration material. The invention also relates to rotogravure forms comprised of a substrate with a grid of recesses and with structures, which are produced inside the recesses in order to form cups that correspond to the tone values of the setting copy and which are made of a removable illustration material. The invention finally relates to a use of a rotogravure form of the aforementioned type, whereby the form is provided with a printing ink that does not influence the illustration material, the illustration material is printed, and the form is physically or chemically removed after the illustration material is printed.
