[origin: WO03052183A2] The invention relates to a texturing machine for false-twist thread texturing. Said texturing machine comprises at least one first delivery device, a heating device, a cooling device, a false twist unit, a second delivery device in addition to a winding device. The cooling device comprises a cooling tube on the outer surface of which the thread is contactingly guided along a helical cooling path which is formed on the periphery of the cooling tube. According to the invention, said texturing machine is provided with an element which lifts the thread in order to modify the length of contact of the cooling tube. Said element lifts the thread in such a manner that it is guided without contact with the cooling tube on one section on the cooling path.
