Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03054470A1] The invention relates to a trigger device for a rapid fire handgun, comprising a trigger (9), which can pivot against the force of a spring (13) out of a position of rest and into a trigger position and which acts upon a pivotal latch (21) having a trigger cleat (37), which extends into the movement path of the breech (3), with a safety device (47-55) that preferably fixes the trigger (9) as desired in its position of rest. According to the invention, the trigger cleat (37) is formed on a sear (33), which is mounted on the latch (21) in a manner that enables it to pivot against the force of a spring (35) out of a detent position and into an inactive position, in which it does not extend into the movement path of the breech (3). The sear (33) entering into the movement path of the breech (3) can be pushed into its detent position by the breech (3), and the safety device (47-55) is designed for also fixing the latch.
