Abstract (en)
The loom uses weft filaments (3) in the form of strips or flat yarns e.g. 1 - 3 mm wide which are inserted by means of a carriage (2) that reciprocates transversely relative to the weft filaments as they pass through guides (4). The guides are able to turn through up to 180 degrees about their axes and are rotated by a rack (6) and pinion (7) mechanism connected to the carriage. The reciprocating movement of the carriage is controlled by a cam interacting with end levers (8). The loom also has a tension regulator or compensator and braking mechanism that keeps the weft filaments at an appropriate tension without risk of breaking.

Ce dispositif pour la réalisation d'une structure textile comportant en fils de trame des bandelettes ou des mèches plates, est mis en oeuvre au sein d'un métier à tricoter à mailles jetées à insertion frontale de trame, dans lequel lesdits fils de trame sont insérés au moyen d'un chariot effectuant des va et vient selon une direction perpendiculaire aux fils de chaîne, ledit chariot portant une pluralité de guides-fils guidant lesdits fils de trame. Les guides-fils ne sont pas montés fixes sur le chariot, mais sont susceptibles de subir une rotation par rapport à l'axe de fixation sur ledit chariot ; Le dispositif comprend au niveau des deux extrémités de translation dudit chariot des moyens pour faire subir audits guides-fils cette rotation. <IMAGE>
