Product code entries are specific to different countries and regions and the microprocessor [7] based system provides automatic selection. The system uses codes stored in an EEPROM memory [2] and are selected using a program in EPROM memory [4]. Data entered into the work store [5] is compared with the table data.

Zur automatischen Produktcodeeingabe weist ein Postverarbeitungsgerät, welches mit einer Tastatur mit Bedienungselementen (6), mit einem Speicher (2), mit einem Arbeitsspeicher (5) und mit einem über einen Programmspeicher (4) programmierbaren Mikroprozessor (7) ausgestattet ist, einen einstellbaren Betriebsmodus und eine entsprechende Einrichtung zur automatischen Produktcode-Eingabe auf, deren Mikroprozessor (7) durch ein Programm zum Auswerten von im Arbeitsspeicher (5) gespeicherten poststück-bezogenen Datenwerten, mittels einer im programmierbaren Speicher (2) gespeicherten Tabelle programmiert ist. <IMAGE>
