Abstract (en)
The tube (8) of the temperature sensor (7) extends all the way across the top of the circular heating element (1). It contains a first long rod (L1.9) which expands when heated and presses on the end of a short rod (L2.9) which extends into a housing (10). The housing contains electrical contacts (11,12) which may be pushed together by expansion of the first rod. The two rods have different coefficients of expansion to compensate for expansion of the housing. The housing may be rotated as a knob (18) to alter the setting of the switch.

Temperaturfühler (7) für Strahlungsheizkörper (1), der eine in einen Topf (2) eingelegte Heizwendel (3) aufweist, wobei der Temperaturfühler (7) ein Rohr (8) aufweist, dessen eines Ende mit einem Gehäuse (10) eines Schalters (18) verbunden ist, der einen beweglichen Schaltkontakt (11) aufweist, der mit im Gehäuse (10) gehaltenen Kontakten (12) zusammenwirkt, und im Inneren des Rohres (8) ein zweiteiliger Stab (9) gehalten ist, welcher Stab (9) sich in das Gehäuse (10) des Schalters (18) hinein erstreckt und den Schaltkontakt (11) betätigt, wobei das Rohr (8) und der Stab (9) unterschiedliche thermische Ausdehnungskoeffizienten aufweisen. Um eine Drift des Schaltpunktes zu begrenzen, ist vorgesehen, dass der den Kontakt (11) betätigende Teil (L2) des Stabes (9) außerhalb des Hohlraumes des Topfes (2) endet und die wärmebedingten Längenänderungen dieses Teiles (L2) und des Gehäuses (10) aufeinander abgestimmt sind. <IMAGE>
