Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1460011A1] The roller has a contact area for another roller or a material length. It consists of two parts, which have a bearing in the joint. The joint (10) is bridged by a band (11). When in operational condition, the outer surface of the band within the contact area is aligned with the peripheral surface of the roller parts (8,9). One of the sections has a step (26) with reduced outer diameter in the area of the joint, and the band engages on the step.
