Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1460212A2] A padlock has a case (1) and a U-shaped closure (2) whose ends (3, 5) locate through apertures in the housing. One end (2) has a detent (4) which blocks movement in the closed condition. The second end (5) has a groove (6) that limits movement in the open condition. The case base interior has a void that accommodates a standard half-cylinder (7) in the closed position.
