[origin: EP1460224A2] A furniture hinge has two sheet metal halves, each terminating on one side in a rolled tube. One half hinge has an upper and a lower tube which when assembled straddle the single tube terminating the other half-hinge. When assembled, the three cylindrical sections are in-line and form a single cylinder that accommodates a two-part pin, linked by an L-shaped interface. The pin interfaces are subject to pressure from an external grub screw (5) and control pins. The pins are held in presentation by springs (17) top and bottom.
