Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1460433A2] The video camera and projector system are used for a PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) stereo display. There are two video cameras (1,2) side-by-side looking at the fluid flow at angles of (30-50) degrees to the optical plane. The laser projector (3) has two pulsed lasers alternately projecting left eye and right eye pictures (6), with the light (5) passing through the same lens (4). Calibration grids may be used to assist in working out correlations between the left eye and right eye pictures.
