[origin: EP1460600A2] A recommended location-specific vehicle speed is retrieved or calculated. A threshold is determined using an actual vehicle speed, the recommended vehicle speed, and a start threshold. A location-specific speed indication is only output if the actual vehicle speed exceeds the recommended vehicle speed by more than the threshold. An independent claim is included for a computer program product.
