Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03099661A1] Disclosed is a packaging machine comprising a transfer device by means of which a product (P) is inserted into a package (V) and a circulating leaflet conveying device (27) that is provided with a plurality of tong-like holders (15, 16) which are serially arranged and each of which receives one leaflet. Said leaflet is placed between the product and the package in the area of the transfer device by means of the leaflet conveying device such that the leaflet can be inserted into the package along with the product. An opening unit (12) comprising at least one stop (13) is disposed along the conveying path of the holders, said opening unit (12) opening the holders so as to release the leaflet. The stop can be switched between a functional position in which the holders are open and a non-functional position in which the holders run past the stop without releasing the leaflet according to an opening signal of a control device (26). The inventive packaging machine also comprises a first detector device (19) which detects the inserting movement of the product into the package and emits a corresponding insertion signal to the control device when a product is inserted, the control device generating the opening signal only if an insertion signal has been emitted.
